Dhokra brass fish are exquisite examples of 4,000–5,000-year-old Indian lost-wax casting tradition (cire perdue) practiced by tribal artisans, notably in West Bengal and Odisha. Symbolizing prosperity, these handcrafted figures often represent Matsya, the first avatar of Lord Vishnu.

The bottom features a functional chamber, designed for incense, tabacco or a small candle.
